This post is part of an awesome giveaway at Beth Revis’ blog.

The book I’m most grateful for is Pride and Prejudice by the most talented Jane Austen.
I know it’s kind of a predictable choice. This book is a favorite of many, many people and for all the right reasons. But for me this book is simply the first real book I read. I was only a teenager and I found this book and I fell in love with it from the very first line.
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.”
I love Lizzie’s tenacity, Jane’s ingenuity, Mr Bennet’s wisdom and sarcasm… I love even the annoying, little Lydia and Kitty! Mr. Bingley made me believe that good men can exist even if they are a little bit too candid. And obviously Mr. Darcy ruined me for any other man!

Anyway, many are the reasons why I’m thankful for this book but most of all I’m thankful because it opened my mind to a whole new world: the world of reading…
